    "This mineral powder gives more of a matte finish than the others, (makes the pores less noticeable) and I've tried 3 other top brands. The mattier finish hides the pores. Even though many of the reviewers prefer the puff-sponge included, I use a brush instead of the puff and tap the excess off. If you want more coverage, just use more or tap less powder off. If you want some shimmer, use the other mineral powder over it, not under it because you want the matte powder sitting closer on the skin, so it doesn't "highlight" your pores.

I used to have a t-zone, but I don't seem to have it anymore since using this mineral powder, not even in the summer. I have pale skin, so I use the color natural, which is the lightest, and in the summer when I want more color, I blend natural and beige(very carefully) together to match my skin. It lasts a long time. For full coverage, you really do not need foundation. You control your coverage by the method you put it on.

I discovered this stuff years ago from a friend who had a laser peel, and during the redness period afterward, she purchased this from an esthetician at her plastic surgeon's office. It was safe for her irritated skin, and recommended by the surgeon's office and it hid her redness very well. It also does look very good over liquid foundation; that's the way I used to wear it. I'm 45, and I've received a lot of compliments on my skin since using this. By the way, you can also pour this stuff into some moisturizer (very carefully)(I've use my palm when I've done this)and it mixes beautifully if you only want a light tinted moisturizer. "

I like that you do not need a brush to apply it, you can throw it in your purse, and unlike bare minerals, all the powder does not come into the lid compartment. Reviews about color are correct, I am very fair and initially got the porcelain, it is a tad too dark. I bought the natural, which I thought made me look pale. So I mixed the two colors together and it is perfect! This is a great product for those who don't want to spend a lot of time on makeup and want something portable. It's the best product I've used for foundation in years, and you don't need powder with it. Just make sure you moisturize before putting it on.

    "i just recently started buying mineral makeups and i've been using bare escentuals for the past two years. i loved it, and i still do, but i have the tendency to get bored with products so i decided to give this one a try. i swear, this stuff is waterproof! i work out in it, go swimming in it, and it only comes off if u physically wipe your face. it also stays on forever which is awesome because sometimes i go straight from class to work. it never looks fake and you are able to build it to the amount of coverage you want. i have a normal skin type with a bit of unevenness from acne scarring. my only mistake was that i bought a shade that was too dark for my skin tone so i had to start tanning again. i love how i don't have to use four sequential products anymore. it pays for itself in that aspect as well as many others.
